Building Changes makes funding available in Washington State to test and learn from promising practices. In partnership with the Department of Commerce’s Office of Homeless Youth, Building Changes is currently releasing the Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2024-25 state funding through the Homeless Student Stability Program (HSSP).

Overview:
Approximately $1.45 million in state HSSP funding for awards up to $200,000 is available to support housing stability for students experiencing homelessness and their families in the K-12 public school system. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, behavioral health organizations, neighborhood-based organizations, local government, local housing authorities, federally recognized Indian tribes in the state of Washington, and regional or statewide nonprofit housing assistance organizations. Collaboration between housing and education partners is essential, and all applications must include a letter of support from the applicable school district.
Building Changes is releasing this RFP in partnership with the Department of Commerce’s Office of Homeless Youth. Grantees will be selected through a competitive review process and contracted by the Department Commerce. Building Changes will support grantees through training, technical assistance, and capacity building.
